The Loyalist

"It's a little Anxious," he said to himself, "to be a Very Small Animal Surrounded by Water. Christopher Robin and Pooh could escape by Climbing Trees, and Kanga could escape by Jumping, and Rabbit could escape by Burrowing, and Owl could escape by Flying, and Eeyore could escape by - by making a Loud Noise Until Rescued, and here am I, surrounded by water and I can't do anything."

Piglet likes things to be kept neat and organized because it gives him a sense of control over a world that is anything but controllable. He worries about many things, and is constantly evaluating the environment for hazards and mapping out solutions. Sensible and reliable, Piglet can be a great problem-solver. He likes to be prepared for any eventuality and believes that a "glass half-empty" attitude helps to avoid trouble. While risk assessment is his specialty, Piglet often mistakes fear for lack of courage. However, when his friends are in trouble or he feels trapped and alone he can overcome his fears quite admirably. Piglet likes to know all the rules either to follow them or to challenge them, and he questions everything. Friendship, dedication, and teamwork are important to him and he is both kindhearted and generous, sometimes to a fault. He has a deep need for security and to feel supported by the people he cares about. Piglet is aware of his strengths and weaknesses and recognizes the same in others, but he often underestimates his own worth and he needs a lot of reassurance when he's worried, looking to others for guidance and approval.
